A new seating platform, a new information system and an overall more pleasant environment in which to warm up, relax and enjoy the sight of the amazing black-faced drills during the cold months.
A small heated house inhabited by a group of rare drills is in need of some upgrade. The reconstruction will limit the house´s operation from November 4 to December 19, 2024. During the entire time, the indoor exhibit will be closed and the toilets will also be inaccessible. However, it is possible to use the facilities by the rhinos just a few hundred meters away.
However our drills won´t go off of display. These are relatively tough and hardy primates that can go outside for most of the year. In addition, you can also see their indoor heated quarters from the sidewalk leading around the house.
The reconstruction will bring more comfort for visitors. The space from which it is possible to observe the drills is getting united by a darker painting, which also features graphics with interesting facts from the life of the drills. There will also be a smaller podium suitable for sitting. New partitions will functionally separate the toilet area from the drill observation room.
